I love the reflective quality of the materials that respond so well to the mosaic medium. I love the alchemy that unfolds as I allow the richness of the materials to feed my imagination. Each new work is a journey in colour, texture and light.

The contemporary and abstract style of my work considers the traditional mosaic style and techniques of the Hellenistic and Byzantine era. I intuitively respond to diverse materials – glass, smalti, marble and found objects. The possibilities are endless and that is what I love most about the mosaic medium.
